Harvest 2024. Our Harvest Service is on Sunday 6 October 2024. We are asking for donations of food to be shared with the Brighton & Hove Mission Foodbank and the Telscombe Cliffs Council foodbank. The current requirements are tinned meat and fish, tinned vegetables and pulses, tinned tomatoes and passata, pasta and curry sauces, noodles and rice. Tinned fruit and deserts, instant coffee, and “something to make our clients smile”. You can put you donations in the basket in the foyer, as usual and we will use that as the basis for a Harvest display. The goods will then be equally divided and donated to both foodbanks. Please pray for the Harvest \service, the donations and the recipients. Thank you.
Please remember to also save you stamps and tin foil, collection bins are in the foyer.
Dementia and Disability Friendly Events: 3rd Monday of each month, 1.30 – 3.00 pm.
This is a new venture for St Martin’s and we need your support. We are calling it 'Refresh', until the group is established and can chose a name together. We are having a trial run on Monday 9th September, to ensure we are prepared, ready for our first session on 16 September 2024. The session is open to everyone and is a chance to make new friends, enjoy a chat and some activities. We would like to offer cakes (one or two per session, to begin with). If you would be happy to bake for us, we will need a list of ingredients (no nuts please), so that we can answer any query about contents, if required. If you know anyone that you think might find the event useful, please invite them to attend. The best publicity is personal invitation. We ask you to pray for the event each time and we promise to give you feedback from the sessions, so that whether you are in attendance or not this is an event that we all share in. We are excited to begin this new venture and thank God for the opportunity to share God’s love and care. Thank you for your prayers and support.
The Church is open every Wednesday for private reflection and prayer.
