Church Awareness and Food Bank Collection Event.
On Saturday 12th July 2025, I am planning that a group from the Church will gather outside the Co-op in Longridge Avenue from 10am to 2pm. We will be raising awareness of the Church and collecting donations for the Seahaven Food Bank, which covers East Saltdean, Telscombe, Peacehaven and Seaford.
We will explain we are from St Martin's Church and give out our leaflets. We will also ask people to add an item or two to their shopping to donate to the Seahaven Food Bank and we will collect these items from them on the way out.
If you would like to volunteer for an hour or two, please speak to me or put your name down on the sign up sheet on the Church.
Thank you very much for supporting this. Blessings. Matt
Open House. Jenny Welfare will be opening her home at 48 Brambletyne Avenue, Saltdean on both Saturday 5th and 12th July, 2.30 – 4.30. Jenny will be selling crafts, bags, boxes, cards etc. All Welcome.
Saltdean Garden Trail. On the 14th August, Saltdean Gardening Club will be running a garden trail around Saltdean where members of the public can visit local showcase gardens. The church will be operating as a base for the garden club who will be selling tickets and plants etc outside. We will be serving teas and cakes to raise funds for World Vision and handing out our church leaflets. Could you volunteer to serve teas on the day? and is there anyone willing to bake a cake(s)?. If you can help us for a hour (or two) please let Sheila or Katherine know. The day starts at 10.00 until around 3.30. If you would like to visit the gardens, tickets are £5 and are available from the church on the day. Thankyou.
There will be no Refresh Cafe for July and August.
Charities.
Please remember to save and bring along your food donations for Seahaven Community Food, stamps, milk bottle tops and clean foil. Collection bins can be found in the foyer.
The church is open for quiet prayer and reflection on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9am - 5pm.
